Police on the hunt for a gang that robbed jewellery shop in Adabraka

The Ghana Police Service has announced that it is actively pursuing a gang of armed robbers who attacked a jewellery shop in Adabraka on Saturday, November 2, injuring one person.

In a statement shared on their social media accounts, the police assured the public that they are committed to apprehending the perpetrators and bringing them to justice.

"The Police are on a manhunt for a gang of armed robbers who attacked a jewelry shop at Adabraka in Accra on Saturday 2nd November, 2024, where one person was injured," the statement read.

"We would like to assure the public that we will surely get them and bring them to face justice," it added.The Adabraka Market was earlier today rocked by a daring daylight robbery that took place right in front of stunned residents.

Four heavily armed and masked men targeted a man in a red Toyota Corolla parked near the bustling market.

Witnesses reported that the robbers approached the vehicle with their guns drawn, immediately firing multiple shots into the air to scatter the crowd.

Shoppers and vendors rushed for cover, ducking behind stalls and seeking safety as the gunfire rang out across the market.

The robbers quickly forced their way into the Toyota, seizing large sacks of cash stored inside.
