Police urges public to alert them before withdrawing huge sums from bank

The Police Service has advised the public to inform them for escort anytime they go to the banks to withdraw huge sums of money.
The spokesperson of the Police Service in Tema, Joseph Benefo Darkwa, said the police are ready to protect the public and will provide escort services for persons handling huge sums upon request.
This follows a robbery incident in Tema on Wednesday resulting in the killing of a Lebanese businessman, Ahmed Safiadeen, who had gone to cash Gh¢200,000 from the bank.

The money was meant for salaries of workers and other factory expenses of the company.
