President Mahama attends swearing in of Jacob Zuma

President John Dramani Mahama last Saturday joined other world dignitaries for the swearing-in of South Africa's President Jacob Zuma for a second term, following his party's victory at the polls.

The African National Congress (ANC) won a commanding victory in the general election on May 7, 2014.

More than 4,000 guests and a number of heads of state were at the ceremony in Pretoria.

While in South Africa, President Mahama also held bilateral discussions with some of his colleagues to share views on matters of mutual interest and concern.

President Mahama was accompanied by Ms Hannah Tetteh, the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr Seth Terkper, the Minister of Finance, and Mr Ben Dotsei Malor, the Head of Communications and Presidential Spokesperson.
