The event dubbed: “Accounting to the People,” will be held at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra at 7:30 p.m.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Communications signed by Dr Edward Omane Boamah, the sector Minister, the President will use the event to brief Ghanaians on the progress made so far on the execution of the mandate given him by Ghanaians.

“This event forms part of efforts to deepen transparency and accountability in governance as reflected in the fourth pillar of the 2012 manifesto.”

During the Fourth Republic, the Kufuor and Mills administration had similar programmes that sought to bring the Presidency closer to the doorstep of Ghanaians, although they were christened differently.
