The facility, which is situated at Dzorwulu in Accra, has been named after Victoria Jane Ream, a humanitarian and philanthropist.
It has been established to honour her vision and dedication to quality health care for women and children.

Among the services for women, the Ream Centre will provide sexually transmitted disease treatment, pregnancy testing, prenatal care, health education, birth control sterilisation and mammogram referral among others.

Speaking at a brief ceremony to officially commission the Ream Centre, Dr Juliette M. Tuakli (MD MPH), a paediatrician and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CHILDAccra, reiterated the commitment of her outfit in providing childcare and maternal healthcare services for visitors to the centre.
