Retired airport officers get 9-member executive

A nine-member executive of the Ghana Airports Retired Officers Association (GACROA) has been inaugurated in Accra to help steer the affairs of the association.

They are Emmanuel Adormson, Chairman; Lawrence Obeng Bonsu, Vice Chairman; Augustina Okine, Secretary; and Margaret Osei Kofi, as Assistant Secretary.

The rest are Daniel Fekpe, Treasurer;  Samuel Akwetey, Financial Secretary;  Richard Aryeetey, Welfare Officer;  Caroline Asibey, Assistant Welfare Officer and   Christopher Quaye as the honorable Patron.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony in Accra, the acting Managing Director of Ghana Airports Company Limited, Mr Charles Kwame Asare, charged the newly elected executives to lead its members selflessly and be willing to serve.

For his part, the Director of Human Resources of the company, Mr Robert Tagoe said the formation of the association was made possible through collaborations and consultations between management, the divisional union and the retired officers. 

He urged all retired officers to come on board and maintain links with the company.

On his part, the President of the Association, Mr Emmanuel Adormson, thanked management for its support in ensuring the birth of the association and pledged their preparedness to make available their vast experience in the aviation industry.  

He expressed delight at the numerous developmental projects ongoing at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) and the regional airports to improve passenger experience at our airports.
