Engineering firm donates to two institutions

ADK Consortium an engineering consultancy firm in Accra has presented medical equipment and food items worth Ghc 5,000 to the Ridge Hospital and the Christ Faith Foster Home, Frafraha near Madina.

At the Ridge Hospital, the firm handed over 10 sets of bedsheets, 10 pillows, detergents, hand sanitisers, a pack of toilet roll, 12 packs of hand gloves and cotton wool while the Christ Faith Foster Home received 10 mini bags of rice, eight gallons of cooking oil, 12 boxes of sugar, soft drinks and biscuits.

Others were four boxes of frozen chicken, a box of tin tomato and baskets of assorted vegetables.

Presenting the items, Ms Mariam Mary Berry, Office Manager of ADK Consortium said one of the company's ideals was to always share with the less privileged in society and that it had been an annual activity where several of such donations were made to support the health delivery system. She mentioned the Osu Children's Home, the Children's block of the Korle bu Teaching Hospital, Bawjiase Ophanage, Little Angel Orphanage and SOS Children's Village at Tema as some beneficiaries of the company's benevolence.

Madam Henrietta Asare Agyemeng, Superivisor of the Christ Faith Foster Home, Frafraha, said she was grateful to the donors for their kind gesture and said the items had come at a good time when Christmas was being celebrated and that the children would also enjoy the Christmas.
