The ward was refurbished and provided with an air conditioner, beds, a flat screen television, a fridge and chairs.

It was named after the founder of the RCI, Apostle General (AG) Reverend Sam Korankye Ankrah.

The director of administration of the church, Pastor lawyer Dzifa Gapleazi, said the church was concerned about the welfare of people, especially women and children.

She said it was for this reason that the church decided to extend assistance to those in need.

She prayed that women who would be admitted to the ward would be healed through the grace of God.

Appreciation

The Director of the hospital, Dr Anim Boamah, thanked the church for the gesture.

He further called on other organisations to also come to their aid to improve on the situation at the hospital.

Koforidua Prison

In a related development, the Compassion Ministry of the church has also donated a 5000- litre water tank to the Koforidua prison to augment their water supply system.

The ministry encompasses all the social programmes of the church. It is aimed at transforming the lives of the vulnerable, socially excluded and the less-privileged in society to give them hope for the future.

Pastor Gapleazi further explained that the move was in fulfilment of Apostle General Rev. Ankrah’s promise to provide the inmates with a water tank since the one at the time of his visit early this year was damaged.

Royalhouse Chapel undertakes regular visits to various prisons in Ghana to minister the word of God to inmates and also extend love and care to them.

Commendation

The Officer in Charge of the prison, ADP Benedict Bob-Dery, commended the servant of God and said the water tank would help reduce their water storage challenges.
