The project is an initiative of the chief aimed at complementing government’s efforts at improving the lives of the people. He said the court, which would have 10 separate offices, was part of a bigger plan to provide the community with a hospital, fire station and a police station, among others.

“The court building is expected to be completed by the end of 2015 and it would bring an “uncommon transformation to Sabin Akrofrom,” he said.

He urged the people to support the project and called on the government to collaborate with the chiefs in developing the area.

The Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Joseph Yammin, commended Nana Kofi for his efforts.

He said Nana’s good work was worthy of emulation and reiterated government’s commitment to develop all areas in the country and called for cooperation from chiefs in all parts of the region.

He encouraged Nana Kofi to continue with his philanthropic and patriotic work which is aimed at pulling the people from underdevelopment and urged him to work closely with the district assembly since they had a common purpose to develop Sabin Akrofrom.

The Atwima Kwanwoma District Chief Executive (DCE), Nana Kwabena Nkrumah, pledged the support of the assembly towards the court project. He said he was hopeful that the presence of a court in the town would help fight crime and promote peace in the area.

The Atwima Kwanwoma District Magistrate, Mr John Josiah-Kwofie, said a district court in the area was essential in view of persistent ethnic clashes and inter-religious disagreements in the area. He urged the citizens to rally behind the Sabin Akrofrom Traditional Council in its quest to develop the area.
