Sam George retains Ningo-Prampram seat
The National Democratic Congress’ Member of Parliament, Mr Samuel Nartey George has been declared winner of the Ningo-Prampram parliamentary seat.
Mr George polled 48,661 against his main contender,Mr Alexander L. Martey, a presidential staffer who stood on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who secured 19,911 votes.
Mr Freeborn Kofi Teye of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) had 869 while the independent candidate, Mr Angmor Richard Nartey, polled 289 votes.

Mr George, prior to this contest vowed to increase the NDC margins by 20,000 votes and lived up to his words by stretching his closet contender by 28,750.
The elections in the constituency were generally peaceful.
Provisional results in respect of the presidential race in the constituency as announced by the EC Samuel Amey is as follows;
