Screening of accused judges video unethical — Counsel
Counsel for four of the judicial staff implicated in the corruption exposé, Mr Egbert Faibille Jr, says it will be highly unethical to publicly screen the video, since it contains the images of children of some of the judges.
He said the footage when screened would be a “permanent record” that would unfairly expose the identities of innocent minors to the whole world.
“Are we going to show the children to the world all because one of their parents was engaged in a discussion with someone?” he asked.
“We are talking about permanent records,” he said, and suggested that the heightened frenzy of the intended public showing of the video should be toned down.
Mr Faibille Jr was speaking to the media after he and his legal team, as well as their clients, had watched the video with the Judicial Secretary, Mr Justice Alex B. Poku-Acheampong, yesterday.
