The church bought the building from Elder Isaac Owusu (a member of the church at Bomso) at GH¢1.1 million.

The President of the West-Central Africa Division (WAD) of the church, Pastor Dr Gilbert Wari, dedicated the office complex to the Lord and asked his servants to use it to support, promote and influence evangelism.

He was of the view that God had entrusted into the hands of Seventh-Day Adventists the mission to “preach the gospel to the entire world.”

Both the former Executive Secretary of the General Conference of the church in the United States, Pastor M.A. Bediako and the former President of the WAD, Pastor P. O. Mensah, prayed for God’s protection for the church leaders who would occupy the office to work in unity.

The President of the Southern Ghana Union Conference of the church, Pastor Dr Samuel Adama Larmie, asked that pastors of the church should dedicate themselves to the advancement of God’s work.

Present at the ceremony were representatives of various religious bodies and security services. There were songs ministration from New Era, an acappella singing group of the church.

The NGUM will contain the Central Ghana Conference (CGC), South Central Ghana Conference (SCGC), Mid-West Ghana Conference (MGC) and North Ghana Mission (NGM) and work for the members in the Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, Northern, Upper West and Upper East regions.

The officers of the NGUM are Pastor Dr Kwame Kwanin Boakye, President; Pastor Dr Kwame Annor Boahen, Executive Secretary; Pastor Dickson Sarfo Marfo, Treasurer and Mr Wilberforce Obuor, Associate Treasurer.
