
See the areas that will be affected by ECG’s maintenance on October 7, 2025
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a series of planned and emergency maintenance works scheduled for Tuesday, October 7, 2025, across six regions as part of efforts to enhance service delivery and ensure stable power supply.
The exercise, which will take place between 9am and 5pm in most areas, will affect parts of the Ashanti, Greater Accra, Tema, Volta, and Central regions.
In the Ashanti Region, the company will carry out both planned and emergency maintenance. Communities to be affected include Asuofua, Asamang, Achiase, Kokoben, Amoaman, Adugyama, Adankwame, Nketia, Heman, Ampatia, Trede, Ampabame No. 2, Darko, Sabin Akrofrom, Abakomade, Abuakwa, Part of Tanoso, Namong, Koforidua, Samproso, Aburokyire, Anomangye, Matasie, Daban Town, Cindys, Part of Apraman, Part of Sokoban, Toase, Gyamkobaa, Bodwesango, Nkawie, Mpasatia, and surrounding areas.
The emergency works in the region will also affect Edwenase, Foase, Trabuom, Nweneso, Akokroso, Moseaso, Atwere, Agroyesum, Abore, Manso Nkwanta, Domeabra, and Part of Apeadu, among others.
In the Greater Accra Region, power supply will be interrupted in Kassajan opposite Church of Synagogue Ability, Islamic University, Adjiringanor Village, Twumasiwaa Hospital, Osu Night Market, Bubuashie, Samsam, Banana Inn, Sakaman, and surrounding areas.
The Tema Region will also experience maintenance activities in Magna Terris, Adom Estates, Devtraco, ICGC, Methodist Junction, Afariwaa Junction, Sanco 4, Michell Camp Gate, Kakasunaka, Gbetsile, and nearby communities.
For the Volta Region, the affected areas include Part of Green Valley, Hoviefe, Klefe, Ziavi, Sky Plus Hotel, Microwave, Taviefe, Matse, Dzologborgame, Akoviefe, Klave, Shia, Nyive, and surrounding communities. Maintenance in the region will last from 9am to 1pm.
In the Central Region, the exercise will affect Gomoa Debiso, Gomoa Ogun, Part of Gomoa Dawurampong, Gomoa Nduam, Gomoa Wassa, Gomoa Nkran, Gomoa Esikuman, and nearby areas, also between 9am and 1pm.
The ECG said the maintenance works are necessary to improve service reliability and ensure a consistent power supply. The company also apologised for any inconvenience the exercise may cause and appealed to customers for their cooperation.
