His accomplices, Abdul Rahman, 40, a butcher; Ibrahim Yussif, 37, a barber, and Amin Mohammed, 47, a trader are currently at large and a bench warrant has been issued by the court,  presided over by Miss Arit Nsemoh, for their arrest.

Yahaya, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges of assault and forcible entry and was granted bail in the sum of GH¢4,000 with one surety.

Presenting the facts of the case, Chief Inspector Gregory Yeboah, the prosecutor, said the complainants, Mr Thomas Ablorde and Ibrahim Nuruden, were receptionists at Blowplast Group of companies at the South Industrial Area, Accra, while Yahaya, Rahman, Yussif and Mohammed were residents of Maamobi, a suburb of Accra.

The prosecutor said on October, 29 2015, at about 11:32 a.m, Yahaya, who claimed to be the founder and Director of Pamela Bridgewater Project (Kayayei) Kaneta Voluntary Organisation, an NGO at Mamobi, went to the premises of the Blowplast Group of companies with a letter soliciting for financial assistance to embark on an alleged clinic for Kayayei at the Kejetia Market in Kumasi.

Chief Inspector Yeboah said the accused persons went dressed in the NDC party colours in two vehicles with registration numbers, GR1159-14 driven by Yahaya and GW7028-Y which had NDC posters on it.

The prosecutor said while at the reception, they requested to see the managing director and when  asked if they had already booked an appointment they replied in the negative.

Chief Inspector Yeboah said Yahaya then instructed the receptionist to call the MD to enable him to speak to him but the receptionist called the secretary instead.

He said Yahaya not satisfied after speaking to the secretary told his accomplices to follow him to the MD’s office.

Chief Inspector Yeboah said the accused persons tried to enter the MD’s office even though Mr Ablorde tried preventing them .

He said when they got to the MD’s door, the accused were approached by Mr Nuruden who in an attempt to talk with Yahaya was assaulted.

The company’s security men intervened and sent the accused persons out of the office.

From there, Mr Nuruden  put the accused persons in his vehicle to report them to the NDC headquarters, but they pleaded with him to instead allow them to go back and apologise to the MD for their misconduct and he obliged.

At the MD’s office,Yahaya apologised to the MD in the presence of  Mr Nuruden and claimed he had lost his cell phone valued at GH¢ 1,000.

The prosecutor said the MD gave him GH¢ 500 as compensation and the accused persons left.

Chief Inspector Yeboah  said the accused persons  then went and made a case of assault against the MD, Mr Nuruden, and the security men who were on duty to the police at  STC.

The prosecutor said police medical report forms were issued to the four to attend hospital and they obliged, returning with same duly endorsed by the medical officer.

Later, the prosecutor said the MD, Mr Nuruden, and the security men were picked up for investigation. According to the prosecutor, further enquiries led to the arrest of Yahaya and his accomplices.

In their caution statement, they told the police they were members of an NGO but could not produce any proof of membership and only led the police to an office located at Maamobi with the inscription “Pamela Bridgewater Project (Kayayei) www. KVOLUGH.COM”
