The Chief Executive Officer, Mr Mustafa Kunt, said they decided to support the institute because of the technical education it had been providing to the youth in the industrial hub of Tema for some time now.

He said the school’s  underground cables  had been damaged and as a result, it  had no power, making teaching and learning very difficult for both students and teachers.

The company always wants to work with students from TTI to give back to society and help integrate them into the job market.

“Education and technical knowledge are the key virtues to every country’s national growth. You should help your neighbours when they are in need,” he said.

Mr Kunt further said that they had been doing business in Ghana for the past 13 years and had supplied high-quality electrical materials to a number of countries.

He used the occasion to urge Ghanaian and international businesses to insist on buying good quality items, especially installation and electrical products for their buildings .

The  company supplies  Vatan cables, transformers, generators, LED lights and accessories for various  projects.

Mr George Nii Torgbor Provencal, Principal of TTI, said  the presentation was timely since the school was still celebrating its 50th anniversary and  most of its underground cables had worn out .

According to him, the school had for years trained students in the technical and vocational sectors to feed industries in the Tema Metropolis and other districts across the country.

He spoke against the decline in the enrolment of students in some departments of the institute, including photography, tailoring and catering.
