Teacher assists school

A teacher of the Akyem Eshiem Rashadia Islamic Basic School in the Birim Central Municipality in the Eastern Region, Mr Castro Asumadu Addae, has donated a desktop computer valued at GH¢400 to the primary department of the school.

Making the presentation, Mr Asumadu-Addae said teaching Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the school had always been done in the abstract as there was no computer in the school, hence the gesture.

He said the provision of the computer would help the schoolchildren to keep abreast of ICT.

The head teacher of the school, Mr John Odame-Addo, who received the item, thanked Mr Asumadu Addae for the gesture and promised to put it to good use to benefit every pupil.

He seized the opportunity to appeal to well-to-do individuals and benevolent organisations to assist in the development of the school.
