The beneficiaries of the support are the Vester Oil Mills in the Ashanti Region, Katchito Community Development Centre in the Northern Region and the Nasana Community in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The support involves the completion of two community health centres in the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo regions, with the view to providing quality healthcare for the people.

The third grant is to promote the processing of gari and cassava dough by a group of women in Lito, a suburb of Buipe in the Northern Region, supervised by the Katchito Community Development Centre.

At a ceremony to present the grants in Accra, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the fund, Mr Eric Asae, said the trust had, for the past years, supported basic projects to improve the lives of people in deprived communities.

He urged the beneficiaries to ensure accountability and sustainability of the projects by instituting appropriate monitoring and evaluation processes.

Mr Asae said since the inception of the trust fund, it had disbursed GH¢317,302.10 to 19 community-based projects.
