Two donate to Rawlings
A former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Vice Marshall Michael Samson-Oje (Retd), and the Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic Bank, Mr Alhassan Andani, have donated hand-washing equipment to the office of former President Jerry John Rawlings.
While Air Vice Marshall Samson-Oje donated two hands-free pedal-operated hand-washing units, Mr Andani presented three Sabta King semi-automated hand-washing units to help in the prevention of COVID-19 infections.

Former President Rawlings, who received the items at separate meetings, expressed gratitude to the two donors for their show of concern and indicated that the units would be put to good use.

He urged Ghanaians to take the necessary precautions to avoid contracting the coronavirus disease.
He cautioned that failure to observe the laid-down protocols of physical distancing, wearing of masks and cough and sneeze etiquette would lead to an increase in the spread of the disease with its attendant negative economic and social fallout for the country.

Air Vice Marshall Samson-Oje was CDS from January 2016 to February 2017 and served in the military for 41 years. Prior to his appointment as CDS, he was Chief of Air Staff.
