Youth advised to value entrepreneurship training
A Minister of the Victory Bible Church International, Rev. Patrick Otieku-Boadu, has advised the youth to consider entrepreneurship training as a positive means to self-employment.

He said the opportunity in the world of work was limited, and it was, therefore, important for the youth to make use of the skills they acquired through entrepreneurial training, to venture into private enterprises instead of relying on the government or other corporate institutions for employment.
“If a country wants to progress, it relies on an individual to make a decision in life,” he stressed.
Rev. Otieku-Boadu, who is also a motivational speaker, stated this in an interview with the Daily Graphic on the side-lines of the Students Representative Council (SRC) lecture of the Advance Business College on the theme “redefining your career path” in Accra.
Challenges
The lecture, which brought together students from Jayee University College, Marshall University and Kings University College, was aimed at identifying the challenges confronting the youth with regard to employment and the need to identify their purpose in life early enough to make a difference in the world.
Addressing the students, he said it was sad that students would spend time and resources in acquiring knowledge only for them to end up as a group of unemployed graduates after their tertiary education.
Available opportunities
Mr Oteiku-Boadu advised the students to make good use of all opportunities available to them, adding that “You don’t need large amounts of money to start a business, rather hard work, determination, decision making and ability to establish yourself”.
The SRC President of the Advance Business College, Mr Ishmael Ankamah Aryee, explained that the lecture was purposely held for students to encourage them to be self-dependent and useful to the society at large.
