Polio vaccination starts tomorrow

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced that it will commence immunizing children aged under five years against polio tomorrow (September 11, 2019).
The immunization exercise would be held between Wednesday, September 11 to Saturday, September 14 across the country.
An announcement by the GHS of the Ministry of Health said immunization teams will move from house to house to immunize all children within the age range.
The announcement added that the vaccine even in repeat dosages is safe, free and given as drops in the mouth.
The GHS also warned that any child under 15 years who develops sudden paralysis should report to the nearest health centre within 24 hours.
