Alan wishes Akufo-Addo well on his 70th birthday

New Patriotic Party flag bearer hopeful for the 2016 elections, Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyeramaten, has congratulated Nana Akufo-Addo on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

Nana Akufo-Addo, the two-time presidential candidate of the NPP, who was born on March 29, 1944 turned 70 on Saturday.

He led the NPP into the 2008 and 2012 general elections as flag bearer but lost on both occasions to late President John Atta Mills and incumbent John Dramani Mahama, respectively.

As Akufo Addo celebrated his 70th birthday, the man whom he beat twice in 2007 and 2010 to secure the flag bearer title, Mr Kyerematen extended a message of best wishes to him.

In a statement, the leading NPP member also wished that the years ahead of Nana Akufo-Addo would bring him and his family even greater happiness and fulfilment.

The two heavy weights in the NPP are expected to clash for the third successive time, when nominations are opened sometime this year for the flag bearer contest.
