Felix Ofosu Kwakye snatches Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese seat

Felix Ofosu Kwakye of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has successfully won the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He secured 30,607 votes, representing 60.61 per cent of the total votes cast.

Eric Kobina Nyanteh, the NPP candidate, garnered 19,598 votes, representing 38.81 per cent. Meanwhile, John Ansah-Psalms of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) received 293 votes.

In the presidential election within the constituency, the NDC’s John Dramani Mahama emerged victorious with 30,872 votes, representing 62.22 per cent. The NPP’s Dr Mahamudu Bawumia polled 17,739 votes, representing 36.75 per cent.

This outcome underscores the NDC’s stronghold in the constituency, reflecting significant voter support in both the parliamentary and presidential elections.
