GCPP salutes Muslims
The Chairman and leader of the Great Consolidated Popular Party, Dr Henry Lartey has wished Muslims a happy Barka da Sallah.
“To Muslims and Christians throughout Ghana, this message is also an important call to action for peace and tolerance”, he stated
According to the GCPP leader, “ as we wait for the Supreme Court judgement, promoting mutual respect through education is very vital as we celebrate Eid-ul- Fitr.
He also said that as Otumfuo Osei Tutu, the Asantehene, civil society and churches were working hard to reduce political tensions, we all know that mutual respect is fundamental in any human relationship, especially among people who profess religious belief.”
In this way, he said sincere and lasting friendship could grow.”
He said as a month of fruitful sacrifice, “Ramadan brings rewards into our lives”, and added that Ramandan was a time for reflection.
