33 Shortlisted for MMDCE positions in Bono East

The Bono East Regional Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has submitted 33 names to the party's headquarters for consideration for the appointment of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) positions.

They are made up of 32 males and one female from the Kintampo North.

In all, 161 persons from the 11 constituencies in the region applied for consideration for the positions.

However, the Regional Secretary of the NDC, Dr Isaac Adaebsah, told the Daily Graphic that later five people withdrew their applications on personal grounds, leaving 156 people to be vetted.

Withdraw

"Total applicants from the 11 constituencies were 161 but five people later withdrew, leaving 156," he stated.

He said the vetting committee sat from Wednesday, January 22, 2025 to Friday, January 24, 2025, to vet the remaining 156 applicants.

He said the committee considered areas such as ethnicity, geographical knowledge, competence, experience and knowledge in the constituency dynamics.

Others, he said, were knowledge of key policy documents in the NDC manifesto, composure, expression and appearance.

Press statement

A press statement dated January 25, 2025, signed by Dr Adaebsah, listed the names of the shortlisted and their constituencies.

Titled: "Shortlisted application for MMDCE position in the Bono East Region", the statement captured three names in each constituency.

In the Techiman Metropolis, the three shortlisted are Adjei Mensah, Edward Fosu Nsowah and Martin Kwabena Yeboah.

For Techiman North, they are Johnson Kwabena Adom, Emmanuel Antwi Boasiako and Eric Amoah.

In Nkoranza South, the shortlisted applicants are Godfred Dapaa, Samuel Nyarko and Samuel Appiah.

In Nkoranza North, Stephen Acquah Asante, Patrick Effah and Ibrahim Seidu are shortlisted applicants. 

In Kintampo South, the shortlisted persons are Wilfred Zuuri, Richard Akansale and James N. Bikalatob.

In Kintampo North, Isaac Donkor, Abdul Hamid and Vivian Owusu Asante found their names on the list.

In Atebubu Amantin, they are Thomas Masud Musah Ayaaba, Ali Mohammed Shamsudeen and Seidu Bawa Iddrisu.

Samuel Agyapong, Nasrullahi Abdullah and Ahmed Tamimu are shortlisted in Pru West.

For Pru East they are Yussif Sulemana, Amuzu Dzidzorvu and Dauda Abdul Nassir.

In Sene West, the shortlisted are Eric Brebi, Fuseini Khaari and Fredrick Kofi Gyaki.

Fredrick K. Ofornnyi Nkrumah, Evans Selom Ashiangbor and Rockson Obinti were shortlisted in Sene East.

The statement thanked all the applicants for taking the time to participate in the vetting process.
