The Battor Citizens Development Association (BACIDA) has congratulated the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, on his nomination as the Minister of Foreign Affairs designate.

Mr Ablakwa's elevation to this position is historic, being the first MP from the three Tongu constituencies to hold this office.
“BACIDA believes his experience will enable him to excel in his new role, helping President John Dramani Mahama to achieve his expectations while elevating Ghana's stature globally,” the statement said.
He wished Mr Ablakwa well, saying, "May the good Lord be your guide and guard at your duty post."
The statement hailed Mr Ablakwa’s nomination as a significant milestone in his illustrious political career which the association said would strengthen Ghana's foreign policy agenda.
