Strategic move
It said Mr Ablakwa, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has been a strong advocate for the development of the North Tongu Constituency and that his appointment as Foreign Affairs Minister was a strategic move to promote Ghana's interests on the international stage.
The constituency pledged its full support to President Mahama's agenda to reset Ghana, particularly in areas such as compensation and resettlement of the Volta River Authority (VRA) spillage victims, reviving collapsed factories and boosting agriculture under the 24-hour economy policy.
"We thank President Mahama and wish the government success in the management and steering of the affairs of state," the statement said.
