Oti Regional Minister pledges to operate open-door policy

The Oti Regional Minister, John Kwadwo Gyapong, has stressed his commitment to open-door communication, encouraging stakeholders to engage with him freely.

Mr Gyapong said this during a familiarisation tour of some district assemblies within the region.

The visit aims to foster strong ties with assembly workers, inspect ongoing development projects and explore growth opportunities.

During the tour, the minister interacted with assembly workers and listened to their concerns and ideas for improving the region's development.

The minister's tour also focused on inspecting ongoing development projects, including infrastructure, education and healthcare initiatives.

Commendation

Speaking during the tour, Mr Gyapong commended the Krachi East Municipality for its exceptional record-keeping and work approach, describing it as the best in the region.

In addition, he pledged to invite other districts to learn from their experiences.

The minister called on all government employees in the region to put their shoulders to the wheel and move the district forward.

Punctuality

Mr Gyapong called for punctuality among government workers, saying lateness to work and absenteeism would not be tolerated.

“Any unauthorised absence exceeding three consecutive days would be met with severe consequences,” said.

Mr Gyapong called on traditional authorities and the people of the region to bury their differences and forge ahead in unity, saying unity and peace was essential for the development of the region.  — GNA
