After the 2012 December 7 and 8 general elections, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the 2012 flag bearer of the NPP and his running mate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as well as Mr Jake Otanka Obetsebi Lamptey, National Chairman of the NPP challenged the outcome of the polls at the Supreme Court. Currently, the nation awaits the verdict of the petition hearing.

According to Apostle Asare, though the country was currently polarised, he was hopeful that Ghanaians by their peaceful nature would accept the verdict and stay more united than before after the final ruling.

He stated that prophesies from men of God, which point to the fact that there might be mayhem after the ruling if Ghanaians do not pray,  should not be discounted but rather be taken seriously.

He said the only way such prophesies could be reversed was through prayers and added that with some weeks left for the court to pronounce its judgment, Christians all over the country must pray to reverse such prophesies.

Apostle Asare was speaking during a service to dedicate a newly built manse for the Chapel Square District under the Swedru Area of the Church of Pentecost last Sunday.

According to him, the country was in a trying moment which called for prayers for the country to continue to enjoy the peace.

He stressed that since 1992, the country had been a beacon of hope and a shining example to many African countries after every election and that Ghanaians should pass the test one more time so that the country would maintain her enviable record as a peaceful country in Africa.
