I will ensure that all distortions to our history are corrected - Mahama

The Presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), former President John Dramani Mahama, has pledged to ensure that all distortions to the country's history are corrected.

Consequently, he indicated that he will also work to restore Dr Kwame Nkrumah to his rightful place in Ghana's history as the sole Founder of modern-day Ghana.

For him, the place of Dr Kwame Nkrumah cannot be changed in Ghana's history.

The former President Mahama made the remarks when he joined the people of Nkroful and the Western Region to celebrate the 115th birthday of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first President on September 21, 2024.

Ghana first President Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah was born on September 21, 1909, and died on April 27, 1972.
