According to him, there were records to show that the National Chairman of the National Democratic Party (NDP) was engaged in several acts of corruption and stealing when he was General Secretary of the NDC.

Speaking on Citifm Monday morning, Mr Asiedu Nketiah, popularly called General Mosquito, accused Mr Aryeh of taking bribes from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2004 General Elections and stealing two cars belonging to the NDC before leaving the party.

Mr Asiedu Nketiah was responding to Mr Ayeh’s accusations that the current government was full of people who had expertise in indulging in corruption, and that the nation lacked good managers who could steer the affairs of the nation to bring about development and peace.

According to Mr Asiedu Nketiah, Mr Aryeh took a bribe of GhȻ3000 from the NPP in exchange of which he was prepared to mount platforms in Kumasi to defect from the party, adding that, it was a contributory factor to the NDC’s defeat in the 2004 election.

“Am I hearing Josiah Ayeh talking about corrupt people? Or it’s a different Josiah Aryeh? Who does he think that he is deceiving when he is talking about corruption, stealing and things like that…Or he thinks Ghanaians at that time have all died. Josiah aryeh lacks credibility. If anybody decides to call him man of intergrity, it is their own cup of tea. But as I stand here, I say Josiah Aryeh lacks credibility to raise those issues because he has stolen two party (NDC) vehicles and he has been involved in a bribery scandal,” he stressed.

On leadership, Mr Asiedu Nketiah noted that Mr Ayeh’s incompetence led to the NDC’s defeat in the 2004 elections.

“And if it is about leadership, he lacks the credibility to talk about leadership because we saw his own leadership when he was in charge of NDC. He never sat through a complete meeting…And then also, if the type of leadership NDC is looking for is the type of leadership being offered by Mr Josiah Aryeh and his ilk in NDP, then the NDC party is better of without a leader,” he said.
