The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has reiterated that his acceptance of the December 7 General Election results will depend on the transparency and credibility of the process.
In an interview with the BBC, Mr. Mahama expressed concerns about potential irregularities and violence, emphasising the importance of a fair and peaceful election.

“If on the election day, there is widespread ballot snatching, beating of people, and the military moving in and intimidating people, and thugs are all over the place, rampaging the place, you want me to accept that result? It will depend on the transparency and the fairness of the process,” he said.
Mr. Mahama stressed that safeguarding electoral integrity is critical for the country's democracy and reiterated his commitment to a credible process.
Ghanaians are set to head to the polls on December 7 to elect a president and Members of Parliament for the next four years, with electoral transparency being a crucial factor in the tightly contested race.
