Commendation

Mr Farouk Mutachilu, alias Mayonga, the President of the Mamprusi Union, who made the commendation, said the Imam, whose funeral attracted prominent people from across the country, was such an exemplary leader who always sought the welfare of his people.

He said the Imam was a beacon of peace in the area and that was demonstrated in the way he settled disputes amicably there.

He said Alhaji Masuna left a legacy of peace and unity and that all and sundry should emulate his example.

Legacy

Mr Mutachilu commended the government for awarding the Nalerigu-Walewale road on contract, which is now half completed.

He appealed to the government to consider rehabilitating the Nalerigu-Gbintiri road to facilitate the transportation of goods and enhance service delivery in the Gbintiri area, which is a commercial town with a large market.

He explained that with a good road, job opportunities could be increased for the youth in the East Mamprusi constituency and Mamprugu in general since the area is deprived.
