Mr Dery holds a masters degree in General Management and is a graduate of the University of Cape Coast.

A member of the council of elders of the Nandom paramountcy, Mr D. Z. Chemogo, performed the enskinment and installation on behalf of the Nandom Paramount Chief, Naa Dr Charles Imoro Puoure Puobe Chiir VII.

The installation, which took place at the private residence and family house of the Yao Gate, was witnessed by elders from the Nandom paramountcy, the chiefs of Genenkpe, Ullo Dantie, Zimuopare and Tibane, as well as heads of families of the Bekuone, Kusiele, Dantiele and Gane clans of Tokuu. There were representatives of the Dagara communities from Ullo Dantie, Eremong, Gegenpke, Tibane all of Ghana and kinsmen from Wouassa, Decine and Dano of  Burkina Faso.

Naa Yagr II, in an acceptance speech, traced the historical background of the Tokuu skin and explained that he assumed the stool name after his late grandfather who was the first traditional ruler of Tokuu and was popularly called Naa Yao.

He assured the people of Tokuu that he would assist in the completion of ongoing projects and also initiate new ones to speed up development in the community.

On the electrification project, Naa Yagr II pledged to prevail upon the government for the extension of electricity to the other half of the community.

He said his vision was to establish an arts and crafts centre  complex to train and house all categories of artisans including carving, pottery, basket weaving, tailoring and dress making, carpentry and joinery and blacksmithing to equip the youth with employable skills.

Naa Yagr II appealed to the Nandom District Assembly to help complete the ongoing small-scale dam project initiated by the community that had come to a standstill.

This, he believed, would provide all year-round water for gardening, which would encourage the youth in the community to stay at home instead of going to the urban areas to look for non-existent jobs, green grass for animal grazing and water for animals to drink.

In his installation speech read on his behalf, Naa Dr Puoure Puobe Chiir VII charged the newly installed chief to be exemplary and live above reproach and work towards uniting the community for total development.

Goodwill messages from the Ullo Dantie Naa,Naa Alhaji Amadu Seidu and Gengenkpe Naa,Naa Dr Ernest Sangson Tulong I advised the newly installed chief to understand that the new office he occupied was a very challenging one that demanded patience and fairness at all times.
