They are Samuel Nartey George for the Ningo Prampram constituency and Nii Amasa Namoale, the incumbent Member of Parliament for the La Dadekotopon constituency.

Two separate letters signed by the Greater Accra Regional Secretary of the party, Mr Victor Quarshie Adonoo announcing the suspensions said it takes effect from December 1, 2015 pending hearing by the Disciplinary Committee in line with the party's constitution.

The suspensions according to the letter were in relation to accusations by the two that the Greater Accra regional executives of the party perpetuated fraud during the NDC primaries on November 21, 2015.

Sam George on his part for instance has been accused of contravening Article 41 (3a) and 40 (8b & c) by instigating people against Regional Executives and monitoring team during the primaries.

He was said to have granted interviews to the media accusing the Regional Executives of perpetuating fraud to the benefit of his contender, Mr E. T. Mensah, whom he defeated.

For Nii Amasa Namoale, he is said to have contravened Article 40 (8c) when he granted interview to the media and accused the Regional Executives of perpetuating fraud to the benefit of his contender and called some of the executives as “fraudsters and pickpockets”.

According to the party, the acts were an affront to democracy and an attempt to drag the party’s image into disrepute.

“These anti-Party conducts or activities has embarrassed the party and brought the party into hatred, ridicule and contempt and hence must not go unpunished in order to protect the sanctity of Article 40 (8b) and 41 (3a) of the party’s constitution

A Communications Officer of the party in Greater Accra, Mr Jerry Johnson confirmed the suspensions in an interview with Accra based Joy FM.
