“It is with great pride, joy and gratitude that I stand before you to reflect on the significant achievements of the Ada West District Assembly,” Mr Kpankpah stressed.

Appreciation

He said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government’s administration had seen remarkable infrastructure development which had enhanced the quality of lives of the people in the district and the people needed to appreciate it and reward the party in the December polls.

The Ada West DCE was addressing the people at the Assembly’s Town Hall Meeting held at the Sege Presbyterian Church last Monday.

The meeting was well attended by people including the NPP and the National Democratic Congress, the Greater Accra Region leadership of the ruling party led by the Regional Chairman, Divine Otu Agorhom, and many others.

Achievements

Mr Kpankpah, in his presentation, highlighted the achievement of the assembly in health development, water and sanitation, promotion of quality education, agriculture, economic empowerment, social development and environmental sustainability, roads and other infrastructure, and governance.

The participants asked many questions bothering them, with the main one being the leasing of the Ada Songor Lagoon, which is their source of livelihood, to an investor, Electro Chem Company Limited. The people in the district complained bitterly on how the current situation was denying them their means of livelihood and called for the reversal of the deal.
