Participate fully in the December 7 polls - NCCE urges electorate
The Municipal Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Emmanuel Otoo, has urged the electorate in the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency in the Eastern Region to fully participate in the upcoming December 7 general election.
That, he indicated would enable them to vote for their interest candidates for growth and development of the constituency.

Mr. Otoo gave the advice at the Parliamentary candidates dialogue organised by the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Office of the NCCE at Nsawam Adoagyiri in the Eastern Region today (December 3).
It was to provide a platform for candidates to share their vision and policies with constituents and engage on national issues or concerns.
The event brought together dignitaries such as the Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations of the NCCE headquarters, Samuel Akuamoah, the clergy, traditional rulers such as the Chief of Nsawam, Nana Kwamina Ansah I and the Guantuahene of Adoagyiri, Nana Amoako Ampong among others.
According to Mr. Otoo, the parliamentary dialogue served as a unique platform for parliamentary candidates to effectively propagate their messages in their campaign manifestos and interact with the public to better understand their plans and vision for the constituency.
Mr Otoo stated that the objective for the parliamentary dialogue was also to drive the agenda of peaceful coexistence coupled with political tolerance among the political parties at this year’s polls.
With regards to the peaceful conduct of this year's general elections, the NCCE Municipal Director, also appealed to all aspirants in the constituency to educate their supporters and followers to be peace ambassadors before, during and after the December polls.

"Participate fully in this year’s presidential and parliamentary elections because it will enable you to choose the right people you want them to lead you.
"I therefore urge you all to remember that your vote is power, so go out there on Saturday December 7 to exercise your civic right or responsibility as a Ghanaian.
"Do not let someone choose a leader for you which will certainly be against your will", Mr Otoo told the gathering.
The parliamentary candidates contesting the December 7 polls, are the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency, Frank Annoh Dompreh of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Patrick Tetteh of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Rasheed Mustapha of the Independent, Philip Fummey of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Golo Kudjoe of Independent failed to attend the event.

Mr Dompreh of the NPP said his vision for the constituency was to continue providing the needs of the constituents.
He said he had done a lot to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people and that he was still committed to do more if elected again which he was not in doubt.
Mr Dompreh appealed to his constituents and Ghanaians as a whole not to take the law into their own hands to perpetuate violence before, during and after the December polls.

The Chief of Nsawam, Nana Kwamina Ansah I, said the beauty of democracy was practical example of the parliamentary dialogue being by the NCCE.
He entreated all political parties to be Law abiding to enable Ghana achieve peaceful election this year.
