PNC Karaga chairman dies after voting

“We are really saddened by this,” said Mr Razak, adding that the regional executives had already informed the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the PNC Presidential Flag-bearer, Mr Hassan Ayariga of the unfortunate incident.

At the time of the accident, members of the PNC Northern Regional executive body were moving from constituency to constituency monitoring the conduct of the elections.

The Second Vice Chairman of the party in the region, Mr Amuda Kassim said due to the accident, the party had abandoned the monitoring exercise and had gone into an emergency meeting.

He described the late Afa Bawa as a very hardworking member of the PNC, adding that “we have lost a great party asset.”
