Rawlings arrives at congress grounds to tumulutous welcome 

Former President Jerry John Rawlings' entry into the Kumasi Sports Stadium brought proceedings at the congress to a virtual standstill.

Mr Bede Ziedeng was in the process of introducing members of the various committees that would be in charge of the Congress when all of sudden there was an uproar among delegates in the stands.

Mr Ziedeng had to stop his duty to acknowledge the presence of the founder of the party who waved at delegates as he made his way to the dais.
