Upper East NDC primaries: 11,561 delegates to vote
Eleven thousand five hundred and sixty-one delegates of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) have started voting in the party's parliamentary primaries in the 15 constituencies of the Upper East Region.
The Delegates are expected to elect parliamentarians out of a total of 45 candidates who have been cleared in the Region to contest the 2020 parliamentary elections should they get the nod from delegates.

The NDC Regional Director of Elections,Mr Donatus Nyaaba who made this known to Graphic Online today, August 24, 2019, intimated that the only challenge they had was the delay in starting the voting in some of the centres.He however expressed optimism that the exercise will be successful.
Bolgatanga Central
In the Bolgatanga Central constituency,the primaries is being hotly contested by the sitting Member of Parliament Mr Isaac Adongo and Mr George Gamson,a public servant and business man.In all 1,075 delegates are voting in the constituency at the Catholic Social Centre.As of 9:40am over 100 delegates had cast their votes.

The Deputy Youth Organizer,Mr Isaac Asore stated that both delegates and aspirants have been cautioned to be civil in their dealings with each other in order not to mar the beauty of the exercise.
