‘We welcome suspension of Allotey Jacobs’- NDC Youth Wing
The Youth Wing of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Central Region have welcomed the decision of the Functional Executive Committee (FEC) to suspend the former Regional Chairman of the party, Mr Bernard Allotey Jacobs.
A release signed by the Regional Youth Organizer, Mr Eric Dadson said “we are solidly behind the national leadership of the party in unison without an iota of dissent in relation to the suspension of the former regional chairman”.
According to him, the youth are optimistic that Mr Jacobs will submit himself to the needed disciplinary procedures while availing himself to the opportunities enshrined in the NDC constitution to possibly clear of the charges that merited his suspension in the true interest of the party as a senior party folk worth his sort.

Response
The release was in response to an earlier statement issued by a group that described itself as “Concerned NDC youth of Central Region” which was widely published in the social media who had given the national leadership of the NDC, a 48 hours ultimatum to reverse the suspension of Mr Jacobs.
He noted “I state confidently without a shred of doubt the said group is alien to our party structures and unrecognized by the youth wing of the NDC in the region”, adding “I thus call on all well-meaning party faithful and Ghanaians at large to treat it with the contempt it deserves.
He alleged that the said statement is a jaundiced creation of desperate elements within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) housed at the Presidency at the expense of the tax payer to churn out such malicious and wicked fabrications.
