Work in harmony with defeated candidates — Boadi

A leading Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ashanti Region, Mr Chris Boadi-Mensah, has advised the national executive members of the party to ensure that they bring on board the defeated candidates in the just-ended congress to work with them in harmony in the best interest of the party.

He stressed that such a move would inspire party members in general and the Ashanti Region in particular, for the party to achieve its one million votes target for 2016.

Speaking to the Daily Graphic in an interview in Kumasi, Mr Boadi-Mensah noted that the NDC knew what it took to win elections because it had always built strong structures which would be used as a catalyst to win the election in 2016 , adding "We don't place premium on personality cult but work assiduously for the party which is supreme to win elections.”

He commended the new executives and was of the opinion that with concerted efforts the party could make a significant impact to consolidate power in 2016.

Mr Boadi-Mensah also praised the Ashanti regional executive for hosting a successful congress which he described as a show-piece of impeccable organisational ability.

He again praised the national executive for hosting the congress in Kumasi, which he said was strategic.
