Young people, students can fulfil their dreams — Pastor Alex Agyapong
Young people, particularly students in the country, have been challenged to take a firm decision in making sure they have achievable goals to fulfil their career dream and academic life.

The Head Pastor of the Berean Seventh-Day Adventist Church at Gyenyase in Kumasi, Pastor Alexander Agyapong, stated this in an interview with the Daily Graphic.
Pastor Agyapong, who was also the author of a 68-page book titled "Setting Achievable Goals, Fulfilling Your Academic and Career Dreams", with foreword written by Pastor Dr Kwame Annor Boahen, said young people could fulfil their career dreams.
He noted that there were lots of youth unemployment in developing countries, including Ghana but gave the assurance that with the setting of achievable goals, the youth of the country and the African sub-region would enjoy the pride of place by "touching" their careers.
He observed that mostly, achieving some goals or dreams seemed impossible in the sight of young people but said with lots of determination and perseverance, those dreams could be achieved.
He quoted former South Africa's President, Nelson Mandela, as saying that: "It always seems impossible until it's done," adding that it was more motivating when young people would psyche themselves up on a possibility syndrome before setting their goals.
He made reference to Philippians 3:12-14 and said the Apostle Paul made use of the Greek word "telos", which means goal and that he pressed towards the "telos" till he achieved it.
He said even though Paul's goal was not material, his quest to achieve perfection in Christ was achieved when he set the goal of practising the life of Christ.

Pastor Agyapong further noted that sometimes the past might seem gloomy and frighten people, causing them to not set achievable goals, but advised that there was the need to forget the past mistakes and failures and get up after a stumble.
"If you cannot forget your past mistakes, you cannot create a glorious future for yourself. Let go of past failures and move up. It is the courage to get up after a stumble that matters," he stated.
