Dr Wahab Adam returns home

The Ameer and Missionary in charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana, Maulvi Dr Wahab A. Adam, returned home last Thursday night from London after undertaking special duties at the international headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the United Kingdom (UK) for a year.

He was met on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport by some national executive members of the Ghana Mission led by the second deputy Ameer, Alhaji Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, who acted as Ameer in the absence of Maulvi Dr Adam.

Also present at the airport was the Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, Mr Kwabena Tahiri Hammond, an Ahmadi Muslim.

Conferences

While in London, Maulvi Dr Adam participated in the recent conference on World Religions at Guildhall in London, which was organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the UK as part of its centenary anniversary celebration.

The conference, which was on the theme: “God in the 21st Century”, was officially opened by the Supreme Head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad Khalifatul Masih V.

It provided a platform for religious leaders, politicians and diplomats to discuss the distinctive contribution of religion towards peace in the world.

Maulvi Dr Adam also participated in the International Ahmadiyya Muslim Community annual peace symposium during which Khalifatul Masih V honoured Dr Ohene Nana Boachie-Adjei, the founder of Focos Orthopaedic Clinic in Accra, for his services to humanity.

Maulvi Dr Adam also took part in the Ahmadiyya Muslim Pan-African Association Conference, which commemorated the 50th independence anniversaries of Algeria, Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, Malawi and some other African countries.
