Banku to make it double over Powers?
The big boxing showdown involving Ghana’s most popular cruiserweight pugilists, Braimah Kamoko aka Bukom Banku, and Ayitey Powers, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi is set for Boxing Day, this Saturday.
Banku, who almost chickened out of the deal, has vowed to destroy Powers to record his second victory over his opponent whom he defeated in the famous bout at the Accra Sports Stadium a year ago.
Banku has stated that his supposed refusal to fight was a strategy to deceive his opponent and he believed it worked.
“I made Ayittey Powers rekindle his boxing career once again and I would make it dwindle once more and end his career on December 26 in Kumasi”, he noted.
Powers on his part has called the bluff of Banku and promised to give him the beating of his life.
“I would not lose to an opponent twice and Banku’s initial fears which led him to back out initially would be confirmed on December 26”, he noted.
