The president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, has denied rumours regarding the cancellation of the Ghana League.
According to him the Executive Council will take a firm decision on that issue at its next meeting June 30 as earlier promised.
In an exclusive interview with Graphic.com.gh on Wednesday morning, Mr Okraku stated categorically that the decision on the status of the league was not even on the agenda of last Tuesday's meeting.

"It is false. We didn't even discuss the league in Tuesday's meeting. It was not part of the agenda.
"As we have said earlier, the Executive Council will meet again on June 30 to decide on the league," he stressed.
He revealed that Tuesday's meeting was rather a short one which concentrated mainly on the minutes of the previous meeting.
He, therefore, urged stakeholders of the football industry to treat reports on the cancellation of the league with the contempt it deserves.
