Hearts, Aduana for G6 semis

Aduana Stars and Accra Hearts of Oak are through to the semi-finals of the ongoing GHALCA G6 tournament.

Aduana defeated Medeama SC 2-0 in their last group match played at the Baba Yara Sports stadium through goals by Derrick Sassraku (25th) and Bright Adjei (52nd) which effectively ended the Tarkwa-based side’s G6 campaign as the bottom club of Group B.

Hearts, who finished in second position after losing 0-1 to Aduana and drawing 1-1 with Medeama, could face a potential blockbuster semi-final clash with arch-rival Kumasi Asante Kotoko, who play Premier League champions Wa All Stars today.

The much-anticipated Kotoko-All Stars clash in Kumasi yesterday was rained off.

If defending champions Kotoko -- who beat Bechem United 3-0 last week -- avoid defeat this evening, they will top Group A and face the Group B runners-up Hearts, while Bechem play Aduana in the other semi-final clash.
