In an interview with asantekotokosc.com after Thursday’s training session, Coach Osei stressed that a win in Sunday’s game will be sweet revenge for their FA Cup exit at the hands of Bechem.

“We consider the game very important. The three points matter to us. We will be doing everything to fight for it” said the coach.

He pointed out that, although Kotoko overpowered Bechem United in their backyard in the first round with a 1-0 triumph, Bechem’s FA Cup quarter-final win over Kotoko in Kumasi will provide the Porcupines with all the motivation they need.

He said, “That win they had was painful; very painful that we didn’t know what to do moments after the game. It broke our spirit for that moment but we have overcome the pain. We have to teach them a lesson on Sunday. There can’t be two ways about that. We have to beat them”.

Victory for second placed Kotoko (31 points) will see them maintain the pressure of leaders Wa All Stars (32 points) who they trail by a single point.
