Kwegya evicted from MTN Soccer Academy Reality Show

Soccer Academy Reality Show has since its inception never ceased to intrigue its many patrons with confounding news during its Eviction Shows, and last Sunday was no exception as it saw the rather unexpected exit of arguably one of the competition’s “strong men”, Frederick Kwegya.

The 16-year old student of Takoradi Technical Institute was clearly shattered by his eviction and such was the weight that it took consolation from his colleagues and the Academy coaches before he could regain his composure.  

Sharing his thoughts on Kwegya’s overall performance within his six-week stay in the competition, head coach of the Soccer Academy, Yaw Preko, noted that the 5.6ft striker had shown  a great deal of improvement and dynamism over the period and was confident that with the needed guidance, he could become a very good player in the future. 

The night’s 5-a-side featured the teammates in their first game against a visiting team, playing host to a select side from Accra Polytechnic Football team. The game, which ended 1-0 against the Academy boys, saw them put up great showing, but the visitors were, no doubt, a better side on the night, registering the game’s only goal in the first half. 

The night was full of excitement as Ghana’s ace Gospel artiste, Nicholas Omane Akyeampong,  gave the crowd a real blast of fun when he took the floor doing two of his most popular tracks “Tabitha Cum” and “Zaphenath Panea”.
