New Edubiase dissolves technical team

In his quest to transform New Edubiase Football Club to make it  much more competitive and formidable, the bankroller of the team, Mr Abdul-Salam Yakubu, has dissolved the technical team led by Coach Anthony Commey.

The decision, according to Mr. Yakubu, is also designed to poach resilient and buoyant team capable of making New Edubiase more attractive and winsome at both the local and international fronts.

Mr. Yakubu told the Graphic Sports in an interview yesterday that other members of the technical team that failed to make the mark, leading to their dissolution were the team manager, Edwin Armah, the goalkeeper’s trainer, Fuseini Issaka, assistant coach, Tafawa Balewa, and masseur, Isaac Duku.

He said currently the skipper of New Edubiase, Lamin Nasiru, was holding the fort until a new technical team was recruited .

Expressing concern about the performance of New Edubiase over the past three years, Mr. Yakubu said the team under the former technical team failed to live up to expectation.

“The value of the team has been going down over the past four years, causing us to struggle to compete in the Ghana Premier League until we were eventually relegated to the lower division in the last football season”, he explained.

He attributed the situation to the personal interest of the dissolved technical team, saying, it was important to replace them with more dynamic ones to make New Edubiase formidable, competitive and winsome.
