Atlanta Utd sign Ghanaian teenager

Atlanta United FC have signed a four-year contract with 19-year-old Ghanian striker, Jeffrey Otoo, who was a former player with Charity Stars FC at Bubuashie in Accra

The reported lucrative contract, the first by any African to play at the $1.6 billion Mercedes Benz plush Stadium in Atlanta, is expected to propel Otoo to build his career more meaningfully to become one of the best strikers in his time.

Encroachment of Adako Jachie: Kotoko begin steps to stop farmers

The Chief Executive of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr Kwame Kyei, and some of his management team members, last Monday inspected the team’s training pitch at Adako Jachie to have first hand information and also to bring experts later for renovation at the venue.

Recently, the Kotoko management issued a press statement, warning farmers who had illegally taken parts of the land to plant various food crops to vacate immediately after their harvest.

‘Stars budget for AFCON in the works’

The Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Elvis Adjei-Baah, says the ministry and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) are yet to come to a conclusion on the budget for the Black Stars for next year’s African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
